Great golf instruction books can do wonders for any player. The trick is finding a compatible author who offers advice and tips that are appropriate for individual readers. Obviously, women get better results from tips provided by female instructors. Less obvious, men get better results from male instructors who have a similar body type.

Over years of practice, instructors tend to develop a swing that is suited to their personal physique. Quite naturally, instructors then assume that the best way to strike a ball is by using the technique that produces their best personal results.
