Two Mental Golf Tips To Improve Your Game

If you want to be a successful golfer, you’re going to need some mental golf tips. Believe it or not, they’re often more important than fundamental golf swing tips. This is especially the case for intermediate to advanced golfers. Beginners don’t have much potential to get worse; better players do.

One of the most important mental golf tips is to stop overanalyzing. It’s okay to analyze all you want when you’re at the driving range or practicing your putting, but not when you’re on the golf course. It’s been scientifically proven that when you analyze, your brain focuses more on language than motor skills. This will obviously hamper your potential.

Another good mental golf tip is to focus on past successes, not past failures. Basketball might be a different sport, but Michael Jordan was still one of the greatest athletes that ever lived. He said that his success in pressure moments simply comes from referring to past successes in similar situations.
