Form A Group To Stay Golf Motivated
Wednesday, October 26th, 2011One of the best and most overlooked ways to improve your golf game is to rent or buy a golf lesson DVD. Watching these golf DVDs can go a long way. Not only can you stop and rewind, but you can also practice along in your living room. This helps a lot more than you might expect.
Another good tactic in regards to effectiveness and motivation is to form a golf lesson DVD club. This might sound crazy, but it’s a reality. There are many golfers out there who know that it’s better to work as a group to stay motivated. Also, when a group of people get together to watch a golf lesson DVD, everyone has an opportunity to talk about the lesson. This leads to a lot of learning from one another.

The Robot Golfer
Monday, July 25th, 2011How many times have you heard in your life that you’re not a robot? This might sound like a ridiculous topic, but it’s actually very important when it comes to golf. However, you might be surprised with what you’re about to read. When it comes to the game of golf, you want to be a robot. Golf is a game of muscle memory. If your muscles repeat the same quality actions over and over again, you’re going to be a better golfer. If you add personality to your swing, you’re never going to reach your full potential. It’s okay to have a unique swing, but only if it’s productive and it never changes. The next time you’re thinking about golf swing tips, remember that the robots always win on the golf course.
My Experience With Senior Golf Instruction
Wednesday, June 29th, 2011Up until three months ago I didn’t even know senior golf instruction existed. I have recently reached senior citizen status, so I guess I’m not up to date on all the benefits I’m able to receive.
I have been an avid golf fan and golfer my entire life. The one problem I noticed in recent years was that whenever I took a regular golf lesson the instructor seemed to think I desired becoming the next Tiger Woods. All I was looking for, and what I found with senior golf instruction, was a way to keep my game sharp. If the instructor could help me subtract a stroke or two, that was welcomed as well.
The last thing I would like to note about senior golf instruction is that it’s best when the instructor is around your age. They understand you better and you feel a lot more comfortable throughout the lesson.
Two Basic Chipping Tips
Thursday, June 23rd, 2011Every golfer seems to think they know what they’re talking about when it comes to hitting a driver or putting. How many times have you heard someone give advice on hitting a driver or how to read a green? It’s commonplace in the game of golf. Unfortunately, it’s also something that can’t be avoided. On the other hand, how many times have you heard someone give advice on chipping? It’s likely not as often. There are two reasons for this. One, most people aren’t that comfortable with chipping so they don’t give advice. Two, everyone seems to have their own unique approach to chipping.
Personality and body type definitely play a role in your approach to chipping, but there are two basic chipping instruction tips that can apply to everyone. One, always keep the majority of your weight on your front foot. Two, keep a closed stance for better balance.
A Unique Golf Tip
Tuesday, June 14th, 2011In every sport, you need to keep your body quiet in order to be successful. It’s often said that it’s important to keep your body as quiet as possible when things are loudest around you. This is easier said than done and it pertains to pressure-filled moments. While it might sound out of the ordinary, one of the best golf swing tips is to practice in your backyard with the radio blasting. The neighbors might not appreciate it, but it will improve your game. By dealing with this distraction, you are making your practice more challenging than your play. In other words, hitting the ball on the golf course will be easier than prior to this unique form of golf training. This is one of those free golf swing tips that can move you past your competition, even if that competition is yourself.
How You Can Benefit From A Golf Book Review
Friday, June 10th, 2011Most golfers don’t understand the benefits of a golf book review. When you browse golf books online and read the reviews, you’re not just learning about the book, but the game of golf itself. You have to realize that the conversations that stem from a golf book review are always golf oriented. Since everyone enjoys being a teacher, you will find a lot of technical and strategic information in these reviews.
Another benefit to a golf book review is that you can stimulate a conversation by leaving a comment. Not only can you stimulate a conversation, but you can gear the conversation in any direction you please because you’re the one leaving the comment. It’s recommended that you gear the conversation toward your biggest weakness. You are guaranteed to receive at lease some quality feedback.
Golf Swing Tips
Thursday, March 17th, 2011What is the most important aspect of golf? There are so many answers to this question that we can literally write a book about it. All it would take is two dozen answers with subsections for instructions. But we’re not going to write a book. In this case, we’re going to say that most people associate the most important aspect of golf with the short game. Some people will even say it’s the driver. That’s great, but what about the irons? In most cases, you need to cover the most ground with your irons. Therefore, they are incredibly important. The next time you’re in search of some golf swing tips, focus your research on irons. You will find the key concept to be balance, but there is plenty more to learn. If you can master your irons, you can master the fairways and more.
Golf Short Game
Friday, February 25th, 2011The short game in golf can pertain to a few different things. In this case, we will focus on sand shots. If you’re like most golfers, you despise being stuck in the sand. It’s a good way to turn a good round into a disaster. The best way to approach the sand is to be fearless. If you’re fearful and you hit the ball as though you’re fearful, you will never get better at getting out of the sand. Always go long first. For example, hit the ball with authority and allow the ball to travel over the green. This might be painful in the beginning, but as long as you can get the ball out, you can then learn how to decrease the distance of your shots. If you approach these shots with fear and swing timidly, you will never get out of the sand.
