A Great Way To Train For Golf At Home

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011

The best way to train for golf is to get in the habit of training everywhere. This means you should reflect on everything on the golf course, pay attention to your instructor during a golf lesson, watch instructional golf videos online, hit balls at the driving range and find a way to practice at home.

When it comes to practicing for golf at home, you’re going to need a golf swing trainer. Depending on the type of golf swing trainer you purchase, you will either be able to use it in the backyard or in the house. If you choose to search for a golf swing trainer, which is highly recommended, look for ones that focus on tempo and golf swing plane. These types of products will get you the fastest results.

A Great Book For Golf

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

If you’re looking for a book for golf, you’re going to notice that you have a lot of options to choose from. You can find golf books on everything from golf experiences to golf instruction to golf course stats. If you happen to be in the market for a book that will improve your golf game, then look into a book called Effortless Golf. The title says it all, and the best part about this book is that it’s effortless reading. There aren’t many books for golf where you actually enjoy reading about instruction, but this is one of them.

Effortless Golf has a 4.5-star consumer rating, which is out of 5 stars. By reading this book for golf, you will learn how to hit farther and straighter. And that’s really all you need to know.

The Robot Golfer

Monday, July 25th, 2011

How many times have you heard in your life that you’re not a robot? This might sound like a ridiculous topic, but it’s actually very important when it comes to golf. However, you might be surprised with what you’re about to read. When it comes to the game of golf, you want to be a robot. Golf is a game of muscle memory. If your muscles repeat the same quality actions over and over again, you’re going to be a better golfer. If you add personality to your swing, you’re never going to reach your full potential. It’s okay to have a unique swing, but only if it’s productive and it never changes. The next time you’re thinking about golf swing tips, remember that the robots always win on the golf course.

A Unique Golf Tip

Tuesday, June 14th, 2011

In every sport, you need to keep your body quiet in order to be successful. It’s often said that it’s important to keep your body as quiet as possible when things are loudest around you. This is easier said than done and it pertains to pressure-filled moments. While it might sound out of the ordinary, one of the best golf swing tips is to practice in your backyard with the radio blasting. The neighbors might not appreciate it, but it will improve your game. By dealing with this distraction, you are making your practice more challenging than your play. In other words, hitting the ball on the golf course will be easier than prior to this unique form of golf training. This is one of those free golf swing tips that can move you past your competition, even if that competition is yourself.

Full Swing Instruction

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

If you’re looking for help with your golf swing, the first thing you need to do is take a golf lesson. If you happen to live in a cold-weather state, which can be anywhere these days, don’t be discouraged. It’s still possible to receive full swing instruction in the cold weather. One option is to take a golf lesson at a heated driving range. Another option is to take a lesson indoors, which is really neat because some places have machines that can monitor and offer feedback on your swing. The pro giving the lesson will act as a guide. Think of him or her as someone who is helping you study for your next test. Your first goal should be to improve your swing evaluation. Your next goal should be to improve your score on the golf course.

The Perfect Golf Swing

Monday, March 7th, 2011

How do you go about finding the perfect golf swing? Is it even possible? The answer to that question is irrelevant. The reason it’s irrelevant is because we’re looking for results on the golf course, not what someone else will see and say, “That’s a perfect golf swing.” How many times have you heard people say that a golfer has a great swing even though that golfer doesn’t score well? Probably more than once. Forget about perfection and go for results. In order to improve your golf swing, begin with a golf swing jacket, online golf instructional videos, and possibly a golf swing analyzer. The latter is a great tool, but it’s listed as ‘possibly’ because of its hefty price. If you can take advantage of all three tools, you will be on your way to vast improvement.

Improve Your Chipping

Monday, January 17th, 2011

Chipping can be one of the most rewarding and frustrating aspects of golf. Obviously, if you do it well it’s rewarding and if you do it poorly it’s frustrating. Unfortunately, more people fall into the latter category. There are dozens of golf chipping tips to consider, but that’s not what we’re going to cover. What will be pointed out is that nothing is more valuable than going to the golf course on your own early one morning or in the twilight hours so you can practice chipping in a real golf environment. It’s recommended that you go solo so you will have more repetitions. The key to any sports movement is muscle memory. By repeating the chipping movement dozens of times, if not hundreds of times, you will be cementing your muscle memory, which will lead to more success.

Golf Course Instruction

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

One of the best places and times to get instruction on golf is on the actual golf course. Instead of playing with your usual group of friends, consider going to the golf course as a single and asking to be paired up with new people. It’s best to play with people who are slightly more advanced that you. By doing so, you’ll glean some invaluable tips by just watching how they hit the ball. Notice how better players set up to the ball and watch their fundamentals like stance, posture, and grip. Also, take note about the decisions that they make when going about the course. Also, don’t be embarrassed to ask a better player for tips. Most people will be glad to offer advice if you ask for it.

A Natural Phenomenon

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

During our journey from novice to intermediate golfer, we are overwhelmed with golf instructions and tips. Some of them we seek out, such as the golf instructions from books and golf instructors. However, many more of those golf instructions come from our friends and the people with which we play and practice golf. A natural phenomenon occurs on the golf course when a golfer is in range of a less experienced golfer. He or she suddenly experiences the undeniable urge to infuse the young golfer with all of their hard-earned wisdom. This can be tough on the young golfer who wants to be polite, but at the same time is having a difficult enough time of it without all the additional noise.

Youth Golf Course Instruction

Friday, May 21st, 2010

Many golf courses throughout the country have begun offering free golf course instruction for young people. My own local course began a similar program just last year, and in order to recruit instructors they offered members free rounds in exchange for donated time. I became involved in the youth golf instruction for selfish reasons, in order to take advantage of that program, but I kept at it once I realized how rewarding the experience was. I must admit that I initially expected instructing kids to be a nightmare scenario. Golf is hard, far too difficult for them, or so I thought. I now realize that kids take to it better than the adults do. If you have the opportunity, then donate some of your time to a great youth golf course instruction program.
