Choosing the right course
Monday, February 1st, 2010With so many courses out there at your disposal, you owe it to yourself to get golf course help before committing to any one course. The fact of the matter is that you can get golf course help from lots of different sources. The internet has made this very easy and people who want to play the best course in their area can find golf course help right online.
The best golf course help will come in the form of reviews. If you can find reviews of courses from players who have already played those courses, then it will help you understand the difficulty level, condition, and value of the course. This can make all the difference in dictating whether your course will be a good choice or a poor one.
Golf Swing Instruction
Tuesday, December 1st, 2009For those of us that enjoy spending a day or two each week on the golf course, there will forever be those elusive questions: What makes the perfect golf swing? How on earth can the tournament pros make swinging a driver and a pitching wedge or any club in the bag look so darn easy? Well, if you find yourself asking questions like these, then perhaps it is time to look into golf swing instruction. Simply put, appropriate golf swing instruction could improve your swing dramatically. After all, who wouldn’t want to add ten to twenty yards distance or a greater percentage of fairway accuracy? A well honed golf swing will give you confidence in your golf game while coincidentally making those trips to the golf course that much more enjoyable.
Give Sacrifice Shots Full Concentration
Monday, November 9th, 2009When you have found your tee ball in an almost unplayable lie in the rough, have you ever hit your second shot in thoughtless anger?
One of the most costly mistakes you can make on the golf course is to let anger and carelessness become your master when you decide to play a sacrifice shot to escape from trouble.
When you elect to hit a shot out of trouble and back to the fairway, be certain to use the same concentration that you would on a regular shot.
Take your time and plan sacrifice shots from severe dilemmas with great care. It’s just one stroke—don’t let your temper and lack of focus cause you to have a disastrous hole.
Golf Equals Competitive Family Fun
Thursday, September 24th, 2009Since I was five years old, I can remember hitting the links with my family. It was our typical to-do on Saturday morning, always at 9 O’clock sharp. My dad always liked starting at nine; because the first nine holes faced the west, and the last nine holes face the east, teeing off at 9 in the morning always kept the sun out of our eyes. My dad was a little corky like that, and always had some odd traditions he kept too religiously.
We always had so much fun playing together, my brother, mom, dad, and I. We always switched cart partners every weekend, so we would spend time with each other every third weekend. Now that I don’t live with those three anymore, I really miss those weekends on the
golf course. Golf gave us a great chance to keep in touch, and made my family ties stronger.
