The Perfect Golf Swing
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010What is the perfect golf swing?
You start with a set up whose whole purpose is to make you swing back straight away from and then back onto the target line, and still stay in the swing plane. At the halfway point of your backswing, when the club shaft is starting to move up, the shaft should point directly toward the ball. At the top of your backswing, the shaft should still be on the same swing plane and pointing towards the target. From the top of this great backswing position, you can drop the club into the slot, letting it accelerate just enough to reach a clubhead speed that isn’t too fast and isn’t too slow.
That’s the perfect golf swing.
Creating the perfect Golf Swing
Friday, June 4th, 2010When seeking instructions on how to improve your golf swing, there is one thing that you should remember: balance. Balance is the key to a good golf swing, from the initial address of the ball to the follow through. Many people associate a golf swing with that of a baseball swing. Although there are certain similarities, approaching any golf instruction with that in mind will typically lead to inconsistency. A good golf instructor will analyze your natural swing, and make slight adjustments to it to maximize your distance and accuracy. If you try to completely overhaul your natural golf swing, you will most likely be uncomfortable, and therefore inconsistent, when trying to create your perfect golf swing.
The Perfect Golf Swing
Friday, March 19th, 2010If you are pursuing the perfect golf swing, keep these simple points in mind to achieve maximum performance.
* Before beginning the back swing, check your stance. Your feet should be shoulder width apart and you should be standing relatively straight.
* Keep your head down and try not to bend your leading elbow on the back swing.
* Maintain a good grip on the club. If your grip is too loose, it may cause the club face to open up, causing misdirection of your shot.
* As you swing through the ball, snap your hips and wrists simultaneously. Your hips generate the most power and should be square to your target as you follow through.
Follow these steps and you will have the perfect golf swing in no time!

Is There Such Thing as a Perfect Golf Swing?
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009The golf swing is such a subjective entity, so is there really such thing as perfection in this respect? The answer is yes and no. Few in the golf world would say that Tiger Woods has a perfect swing, but the results he achieves through his style of play are nothing short of phenomenal.
On the other side of the coin, Tom Purtzer and Al Geiberger are reputed to each possess the perfect golf swing, yet their professional careers were less-than-memorable. Many younger golf fans have no idea who these players even are, so does perfection even have a place in the game of golf?
Perfection with respect to the golf swing has more to do with results than with technical purity. Because there is no way to play a perfect golf game, the perfect golf swing is a myth. Form and function are too very different things when it comes to having a swing geared towards professional success.
