Master Your Golf Swing In 3 Days

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011

Taking a golf lesson is beneficial for a golfer at any skill level. That cannot be argued, especially if the golf lesson is taken with a PGA pro. However, there are a few ways you can take a golf pro lesson to another level. One such way is to sign-up for a 3-day golf program. The reason a 3-day golf program is so effective is because a PGA golf pro will have enough time to fix all of the errors you’re making. There is only so much a PGA golf pro can do in a traditional one-hour lesson.

Sticking with the traditional golf pro lesson is better than nothing, but it can take years to fix all the errors in your swing. It’s a much better idea to fix all of your errors within 3 days. It will save you time, money and stress.

Golf Swing Lessons

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

You might have heard people say that a golf swing is very unnatural. This is an accurate statement. But the question is ‘why?’ The reason is actually quite simple. Almost every kid grows up playing little league baseball. However, very few grow up playing golf. In addition to that, most kids play baseball for many years. This muscle memory has a definite affect on your golf swing later in life. Your body wants to swing across instead of down because that’s what it’s used to. This is why golf swing lessons are so important. Golf swing lessons are a way for your body to be retrained. If you happen to still play baseball while also learning the game of golf, you’re challenge will be greater, but not impossible.

Am I Still A Beginner?

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

I have been playing golf for a little over a decade. I’m not the best golfer in the world by any means, but I would like to think that I’ve made enough progress where I can now be classified as an intermediate. The reason I bring this up is because my buddy Pat recently told me that I should consider taking a few beginners golf lessons. This was like being elbowed in the gut after a fun round of golf with a friend. That said, Pat is usually correct about these things. And if I want to make progress, I’m going to need to swallow my pride and take a few beginners golf lessons after all. This will definitely feel awkward at first, but my ultimate goal is to shove it right back in Pat’s face by destroying him on the course next season. He will wish he never gave me that advice.

Finding the Best Golf Book For You

Friday, November 5th, 2010

While playing golf is incredibly fun, it’s not always the best way to improve your game. Just as with any other skill in life, sometimes we need to pull away from the ‘lab’ and study on technique. This is completely true in golf, where finding the best golf book on a specific aspect of the game can help you tremendously.

The reason that study will help is that you will be away from the course, away from taking your next shot, and away from anyone trash-talking as you take the tee. By getting into a non-golfing environment, you will be able to digest some new information, process it, and use it the next time you are on the greens.

The best golf book for you is one that reads easily and focuses on the specific things you want to work on.

Essential Short Game Tips

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

Golfers know that a good short game can shave strokes off a score. Follow these golf chipping tips and your short game will improve:

One of the most important golf chipping tips is to let the hands do the leading. The reason for many messed up chip shots is that the head of the golf club beats the hands to the ball. This turns the chip shot into an upward strike instead of a downward strike.

The golf chipping stance is lower than the normal golf stance. Bend your knees and hips and choke up on the club. Your feet should be closer to the ball than during other shots. There should be no wrist action through the shot. The shot should be performed free and easy; let the momentum of the club do all the work.

Golf Video Tips: From Stance to Swing

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

While many golfers will acknowledge they need to improve their golf swing, for some reason, it is more difficult to admit that your stance may need work as well. After all, if your stance is off, your swing will never be right. While many golfers would find it embarrassing to hire someone to help them improve their stance, you can work on it in private in the comfort of your home by viewing golf video tips online.

Like any other area of golf, stance takes some time to perfect and in order to have a winning golf swing, you will need to have the right stance. Instead of ignoring your stance and working only on your golf swing, watch some of the golf video tips, especially the ones that analyze a golfer’s stance. Bottom line: By improving your stance, you will inevitably improve your swing.

The Importance of Mental Golf Tips

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

There is a reason that you see very few professional golfers on television who repeatedly lose their patience. This is because the top players understand how important the mental side of the game is, if one is going to be successful. Amateur players should seek out mental golf tips, as well as tips that help with their swing.

One of the most effective mental golf tips is to focus on the task at hand. There is no way to physically go back in time, so it is completely counterproductive to dwell on mistakes. Getting angry only diminishes the enjoyment of golf.

Although mental golf tips may seem quite simplistic, it pays to really understand the importance of such tips. The sport’s best players all posses a mental edge, so learning mind-control is a critical technique for becoming a better player.
