Golf Tips Putting
Tuesday, August 10th, 2010There’s a saying in golf that you “drive for show and putt for dough”. What that means is that when it comes to be successful in golf you’ve got to be able to make putts. The good news is putting is the easiest part of the game to practice, and if you really want to improve your game, make time to practice!
Every putt is a straight putt… If you practice making 4 ft, straight in putts, you’ll be able to groove your stroke and build confidence. When you get on the course and are facing longer putts, keep in mind the way to be consistent is starting the ball on the line you choose every time. Make the same stroke you made for the 4 footers, and just adjust for speed. Don’t change your stroke because a putt breaks left or right.
