The Best Times For A Golf Lesson

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011

Why would you want to take a private golf lesson? The answer is pretty obvious ” you’re not a superb golfer. That’s okay. You’re just like 99% of all the other golfers in the world. This also means that it’s possible you don’t want other golfers watching your lesson. You might not fall into this category, but most people are self-conscious when they’re not highly skilled at something. The solution here is simple, which is to set up your private golf lessons at odd times. This will allow you to be alone with the instructor with no one else watching. If you swing and miss, so what. Try to fit a golf lesson in during your lunch break. If that doesn’t work, consider setting up a private golf lesson early in the morning or right before the pro shop closes.

Essential Short Game Tips

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

Golfers know that a good short game can shave strokes off a score. Follow these golf chipping tips and your short game will improve:

One of the most important golf chipping tips is to let the hands do the leading. The reason for many messed up chip shots is that the head of the golf club beats the hands to the ball. This turns the chip shot into an upward strike instead of a downward strike.

The golf chipping stance is lower than the normal golf stance. Bend your knees and hips and choke up on the club. Your feet should be closer to the ball than during other shots. There should be no wrist action through the shot. The shot should be performed free and easy; let the momentum of the club do all the work.

Golf Tips

Most golfers are always looking for golf tips and advice to help them improve their game. Golf is something that usually takes time to master. Many golf resorts and golf courses offer lessons to help you improve your game. Many try to incorporate this into their vacations and days off from work.

Golf tips can be found everywhere but the most important one is how you stand. If your stance is good, then you should be able to hit a decent shot. Remember to keep your right knee flexed. Do not tighten up or keep it locked in one position. Another golf tip is to put the golf ball directly under the logo on your golf shirt or just under your left shoulder.

Shaving strokes off of your score the right way

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

For most golfers, the big, ultimate goal is to knock many shots off of your handicap. This can’t be done by magic and it has to be done with hard work and the right kind of training. With that being said, many people are using a golf swing lesson to achieve their long term goals in this regard. You don’t have to be a genius to see that golf is a game of repetition and muscle memory. If you are going to get better, you have to know which things to practice.

A golf swing lesson from a good teaching pro is a relatively inexpensive way to get the basics down before you start practicing on your own. From there, the hard work will result in better scores, which is what all golfers are shooting for.

If your aim is to improve your golf swing, then the only thing that’s going to help is putting in some hard work. There are golf swing drills that you can do to immediately improve your swing and get results out on the course. What are a couple of these?

In order to help stop yourself from coming over the ball, you should practice golf swing drills in which you put an obstacle on the outside of the golf ball. This way, your mind will tell your arms that you need to swing from the inside. This will help you make solid contact when you come through the hitting zone and it will help you to stop chopping down on the ball.

It is one of those golf swing drills that feels very uncomfortable at the beginning, but will really lower your scores if you can dedicate yourself to that sort of approach.
